The LikeMeat GmbH is a producer of plant-based alternatives to meat, and high-moisture extrusion is a key technology when it comes the production of meat-like structures and the development of successful meat analogues for the fast-growing vegan and vegetarian market. However, the texture and taste of real meat (products) can be difficult to mimic.
The DIL Engineering GmbH combined know-how and experience and developed a cooling die that not only improves sensorial properties but which also increases throughput and consequently reduces production costs.
